Inspired by the Make It Show

One of the stalls I'm always inspired by at the Make It show is the Card-Io stall, where they sell and demonstrate their collection of sets of tiny stamps, which used to be known as Rubberstamp Tapestry.  This year, instead of using multiple colours, they were stamping mostly in black, either on plain white card or white that had been sponged in one or two other colours.

I have several sets of these stamps that really do NOT see ink often enough, so when I got home I had a bit of a play around with them. Although my result is absolutely nothing like what was being demonstrated, I rather like it and I think I'm going to be using these stamps much more often now.  Restricting the stamping to just one colour gives a very CAS effect which I'd never thought of aiming for with such detailed little stamps.

I'm joining in with Addicted to Stamps and More, where this week's challenge is Clean and Simple.

  1. Gorgeous CAS design. Like you I always admire their stand but somehow when I use their stamps I am less than satisfied with the results. Single colour stamping looks like a great way to use them.

  2. Oh WOW! What a great way to use the stamps. I've got several sets but haven't used them for ages. I've never seen them stamped in one colour - but your card is beautiful, I love the background too. I'll have to give this a try. It's a shame the Make It show was so far away. :-( xx

  4. Your sponged background is the perfect canvas for those lovely flowers. How wonderful that you'll be using your images more often, because this showcase of them is ever so pretty! Thank you for sharing your creativity in the ATSM gallery!
